Tailored to each bride’s unique vision, our sustainable, custom-made wedding dresses are designed with thoughtful elegance, ensuring every bride feels comfortable and her best self. Created by hand in our Hampshire studio using high-end craftsmanship, each dress embodies timeless beauty and classic sophistication.
Our designs are effortless, romantic and ethereal, perfect for brides who value classic, timeless style over current trends. We use the most luxurious, mainly recycled fabrics from UK suppliers, ensuring as little wastage as possible throughout the process.
All of our wedding gowns are individually made to order, meaning every dress from the Sophie Rose Bridal collections can be interchanged and adapted with elements, fabrics and design details from all the designs, ensuring each bride has the perfect, hand-crafted dress of their choice with no compromise.
Our brides always comment on how comfortable our dresses are – you won’t find any restrictive boning or scratchy fabrics being used and every gown has been designed to flow gracefully with the natural figure.
THE DESIGNER
Hello! I’m Sophie, the passionate founder and designer behind Sophie Rose Bridal, which I launched in late 2018. For as long as I can remember, I have loved sewing. This continued through school, college, and an Art Foundation Degree, as I followed my creative journey. Although I started a Degree in Fashion and Textile Design, I felt restricted by what I was allowed to create, and a year-long deferral led me to a transformative moment when I designed a wedding dress for a close family friend. This project reignited my love for bespoke design and set me on my current path.
I took a bold leap by leaving University and began working closely with Sophie Cranston, founder of the luxury fashion label Libelula. This experience deepened my understanding of the demand for timeless yet unique British-designed fashion. Alongside my work at Libelula, I honed my skills as a freelance dressmaker at a bridal boutique, where I discovered a gap in the market for beautifully crafted, luxury wedding gowns that combine confidence and comfort. I realised wedding dresses could be more than traditional - they could be relaxed, ethereal, and comfortable.
Designing and crafting bespoke wedding dresses allows me to merge my love for creativity with my dedication to creating garments that will be cherished for a lifetime. My cosy studio in Hampshire is my creative sanctuary, where I find inspiration in nature and by the sea, often accompanied by my dog, Joey. At Sophie Rose Bridal, every gown is a testament to elegance and individuality, designed to make every bride feel extraordinary.
